The Sarum Investments WPCS Gelding show

The Sarum Investments Gelding show held at the WPCS Official sale saw the three-year-old Section A Ruperra Crystal Charmer take the Section A and B Championship, and the Boothsdale shield under judge WPCS President Dennis Price of the Afan stud. Bred and exhibited by Barbara Green, this son of the Royal Welsh winning stallion Pendock Paige Boy, goes back through three generations on his dam’s line to the original foundation mare purchase Friars Choice
Taking the Welsh C, D and Welsh Part bred Championship was the 4 yr old Section D Palomino gelding Soden Emrys – bred by Sian Ioan, and exhibited by Megan Williams After winning the Caroline Mon Griffiths memorial trophy he then took the Overall Supreme Gelding award. On his sire line he traces back to Derwen Rosina’s Last, Rhosfarch Frenin and Nebo Brenin. Whilst on his dam’s line he goes back to Ffoslas lines coupled with Brenin Dafydd and Parc Welsh Flyer.
Soden Emrys then went on to top the first days’ sale selling for £14,000.
