Pearly Spencer – straight in at number two!

Dukeshill Pearly Spencer takes the Reserve Championship title and Best of Breed for the Welsh Mountain ponies against all comers at the London International Horse Show.

This nine-year-old grey stallion was ridden by Victoria Harker in this hotly contested final  of the BSPS Supreme Ridden Mountain and Moorland Championship.

He was a winner at the Royal Welsh show as a yearling and a two year old before embarking on his ridden career.  He is the fifth generation of Dukeshill breeding being by the past Cuddy qualifier Dukes Hill Magnum and out of Dukeshill Philadelphia both going back to Bengad and Sunwillow lines. Many congratulations to his proud breeders Kathy and Joanna Sheil.

Taking Best of breed and 7th place for the Welsh Section B’s was Melau Aramis for Samantha Walker.

Topping the Section C’s as their Best of breed was Hannah Turnock’s Menai George. In the Section D’s Katherine Marks was the Best of Breed for the Cobs with Thorneyside Guardsman.

Congratulations to all who qualified for this prestigious final.
