The Welsh Mountain pony breed has lost one of its most loyal supporters in Tom Orrey who has recently passed away. Joining the Society in 1965 Tom Orrey set up the Gydros stud using stallions such as Criban Snapshot and Monnow Model in its early days. He was for many years a WPCS panel Judge and was made an Honorary Life member of the Society in 2018. The Society extends its condolences to Mavis, Nicholas and daughter Jane at this sad time. It is good to know that Jane will carry on with the Gydros ponies.
