Mr Malcolm Gittins – Cwmtysswg Stud

The Society is sad to announce the passing of Mr Malcolm Gittins of the Cwmtysswg stud at the age of 74. Originally from Rhymney he lived for many years in Gelliorgan Farm, near Ammanford.

He purchased his first cob stallion in 1968 from Mr W. E. Rowlands namely Hwylog Black Magic by Farian Prince. He had great satisfaction showing his Cobs and Shires (which were based on the Bedford family’s famous stud in York).  His most recent Cob stallion was Rhystyd Stepping Jack. In his time he registered ponies in Sections A, and D. In recent years Malcolm and his wife Pauline enjoyed much success showing their Mastiffs qualifying for Crufts and selling many abroad.

We extend our sympathy to his family.
