Jean Ball – Vimpenny Stud

The Society is sad to report the passing of Mrs Jean Ball of the Vimpenny Stud. She and her late husband Frank were enthusiastic promoters of the breed along with daughter Janice. Their interest began in 1979 with Fayre Oaks purchase Coed Coch Hygar, and Weston Pearly Bangle at the Weston sale. They went on to breed many successful ponies in Vimpenny Commander, Serenade and Sweet Surprise. The family’s maxim was always ‘it costs as much to feed a good un’ as a bad un’ and their ponies gave them great pleasure.
The Society extends its sympathy to Janice, Graham, family and friends.
