This notice is to remind breeders that if you are submitting DNA hair samples and forms for DNA profiling or parentage testing – that ALL HAIR SAMPLES AND FORMS must be sent to the Welsh Pony and Cob Society Offices at Bronaeron.

The Society then sends them on to Weatherby’s Scientific in weekly batches for processing.

Please ensure that all forms are signed, dated and stamped by the Vet before submission to the Office.

The current turnaround for samples from the laboratory is a few weeks so if you have a Stallion to be licensed or a mare with her first pure bred foal at foot in 2021 which will require profiling, please factor this in to your timeline. Please do not send your registration application form to the Office until you know that we have received the mare’s DNA profile back from the laboratory. Thank you
