Glamorgan WPCA President Dr Wynne Davies welcomed equine students from the Ohio State University to his Ceulan Stud this week. These students are in the UK on a field trip looking at all aspects of the equine industry. The day began with a fascinating presentation from David Davies on the history of the Ceulan Stud and the Welsh Breeds in general.

On show were ponies from each section of the stud book, the students were able to observe the ponies at close quarters and ask questions and discuss the merits of the individual sections.

Ponies presented were:

Weston Distinction – Section A
Brockabye Rosebud – Section B
Hafodyrynys Rihanna – Section C
Rhydfendigaid Sweet William – Section D
