On 1^st August 2019 the Society received a valid request to call a general meeting from members who represent at least 5% of the total voting rights of all the members having a right to vote at general meetings. This request was received pursuant to section 303 Companies Act 2006. The request also set out the members’ resolutions that would be proposed at such general meeting. Under the relevant provisions of the Companies Act 2006, the trustees must call a general meeting by sending out notice of the meeting within 21 days of receipt of the members’ request. Such a general meeting must be held on a date not more than 28 days after the date of the notice of meeting.

Accordingly, the trustees have responded to the members’ request by calling a general meeting, notice of which can be found below and will also be enclosed with the upcoming Autumn mailing.
