It is with regret that the Society must inform the membership of the death of Mr Mostyn Powell of Ebbw Vale.

Mostyn was a life member of the WPCS since 1962.

Mostyn was born at Drysiog Farm, Ebbw Vale in 1937. His favourite mare was Drysiog Molly – Sec A. Molly was born in the same year as Mostyn. She was a well known show mare and lots of well known people wanted to buy Molly from Mostyn’s father but she was never for sale.

For the last thrity five years and more Mostyn bred Section C’s from one of his original Sec A mares Drysiog Baylight. Mostyn’s last registered Section C was Drysiog Peggy in 2015 who is now in Belgium under saddle.

Mostyn & his wife Gloria were married in 1963. They have a daughter Helen & her husband Tony, Mostyn’s grandson Jamie. Mostyn also leaves his brother Ray and his family.
