The Society and the RWAS have been working closely together in preparation for this year’s Royal Welsh Show. The Office at Bronaeron has been checking all entries in the Welsh sections where registered Welsh breed animals compete.

This is to ensure eligibility to compete for awards. The main aim here is to avoid the disappointment when Gold medals, Society trophies, and the show’s Sire and Dam ratings points have to be withheld as the information provided by competitors is incorrect.

The Society checks for:

Correct ownership – many animals entered have not been transferred from their previous owners or are credited with ‘extra’ owners who are not named on the passport and in the Society’s database. This is also a legal obligation as it is against the law not to have transferred your animal within 30 days of purchase.

Stallion licenses – all Stallions four years old and over must hold a valid WPCS stallion licence to be shown, in hand, under saddle or in harness.

Geldings – a gelding’s passport must have been updated by the office from a colt to a gelding with the necessary Vet stamp.

Registration – there are some entries in youngstock classes and adult classes that are not registered with the Society.

In all sections, there are many entries who do not comply with the above criteria and those exhibitors will have been contacted to rectify each problem. There is sufficient time to process these passports prior to the show if exhibitors address the outstanding issues immediately.

This year, in addition, the RWAS have contacted foal exhibitors to request that they register their foals prior to exhibiting. In 2022, three new foal Championships were awarded in the Welsh Sections B, C and D. To align with all other awards, if a foal is not registered it creates problems with the results and can impact the Show's Sire and Dam points competition and the Society’s Sire ratings points. This again can lead to exhibitor disappointment. Although not a WPCS rule this is a request for all foal exhibitors.

Both the RWAS and the Society request that all exhibitors comply with the above requirements.

Mae’r Gymdeithas a CAFC wedi bod yn cyd-weithio yn agos wrth baratoi at Sioe Amaethyddol Frenhinol Cymru eleni. Mae’r swyddfa ym Mronaeron wedi bod yn gwirio yr holl geisiadau yn yr Adrannau Cymreig lle bydd anifeiliaid Cymreig sydd wedi eu cofrestru gan y gymdeithas yn cystadlu.

Mae hyn er sicrhau eu cymhwysder i gystadlu am wobrwyon. Prif nod hyn yw osgoi’r siom sy’n ganlyniad i atal gwobrau megis Medalau Aur, Tlysau’r Gymdeithas a phwyntiau cystadleuthau epil y cesyg a’r meirch. Atelir y gwobrau hyn pan bo’r wybodaeth a gyflwynir gan gystadleuwyr yn anghyflawn neu’n anghywir.

Mae’r Gymdeithas yn gwirio ar gyfer:

Perchnogaeth gywir – mae nifer o anifeiliaid yn cystadlu lle nad yw’r newid perchnogaeth wedi ei brosesu neu mae’r enwau a nodir fel perchnogion yn anghywir ac yn gwrth-ddweud yr wybodaeth sydd ar fas-data’r Gymdeithas. Mae’n ofyn cyfreithiol i adnewyddu’r berchnogaeth o fewn tri deg niwrnod i bryniant yr anifail.

Trwyddedau meirch – rhaid i bob march pedair mlwydd neu’n hŷn fod yn drwyddedig er mwyn eu dangos mewn llaw, tan gyfrwy neu mewn harnais.

Adfeirch – rhaid i basport pob adfarch fod wedi ei ddiweddaru gan y Gymdeithas i gofnodi’r newid o ebol i adfarch a hynny wedi ei ategu gan stamp Milfeddyg.

Cofrestru – mae nifer o anifeiliad sydd heb eu cofrestru gan y Gymdeithas wedi eu hadnabod o’r rhestr gystadlu yn y dosbarthiadau stoc ifanc a hŷn.

Ymhob adran mae yna geisiadau sy’ ddim yn cyfateb i ofynion y Gymdeithas na’r Sioe ac mae’r cystadleuwyr hynny wedi derbyn llythyr neu ebost oddi wrth y Sioe er mwyn cywiro’r broblem. Mae digon o amser ar gael i brosesu pasbort cyn y Sioe os wnaiff y cystadleuwyr ymrafael â’r ymholiad yn syth.

Yn ychwanegol eleni, mae CAFC wedi cysylltu â chystadleuwyr sy’n arddangos ebolion, er mwyn holi iddynt gofrestru yr ebol neu eboles gyda’r Gymdeithas cyn y Sioe.

Yn 2022 cyflwynywd tri chwpan her newydd ar gyfer ebolion yn yr adrannau B, C a D. Fel gwobrau eraill y Sioe os nad yw ebol neu eboles wedi ei gofrestru mae’n creu problemau o safbwynt canlyniadau ac mae’n medru effeithio cystadleuaeth Epil Meirch a Chesyg y Sioe ac hefyd cystadleuaeth epil Meirch y Gymdeithas. Gall hyn arwain at siom i’r arddangoswr. Er nad yw’n rheol gan y Gymdeithas mae’n gais i bawb sy’n arddangos ebolion.
