Appointment of the Young Ambassador for 2024 – 2025

The Welsh Pony and Cob Society Trustees have great pleasure in announcing the appointment of the Young Ambassador for 2024 – 2025.

Charlotte Harris, from Scotland, will take over the reins from Skye Whittle at the Society’s Annual General Meeting in April 2024.

“My name is Charlotte and I’m from a farm just outside of a small town called Strathaven in Scotland. I’m 20 years old and have been around Welsh Ponies and Cobs since I was a baby. I have grown up around the breed and the passion for the breed has been passed down to me through my Grandpa & Dad. We run a stud farm with 30 Welsh Ponies & Cobs of Sections As, Cs & Ds, this is my absolute joy and I love breeding and showing high quality stamps of the breed. Learning from the best around me. In my spare time, I play rugby for Biggar Rugby Football Club as scrum half & work as a nurse in a small animal and exotic vet practice. I’m very excited to take on the role of WPCS Young Ambassador and I’m looking forward to working with the young people of the Society.”

We hope that you will join us in wishing Charlotte well in her new role and look forward to working with her during her term of office.
