WPCS President – Elect nomination announcement.
The Welsh Pony and Cob Society announce the nomination of Mr Stewart Franklin of the Sarum Stud, Devon, as the WPCS President-elect for 2020-2021 with which the Council of Trustees wholeheartedly agree. Proposed by Dr E.Wynne Davies and seconded by Miss R. Russell Allen, this will now be taken to the Society’s AGM on April 4th 2020 for the endorsement of the membership.
Stewart joined the Society in 1967 and his passion for the breed was ignited by the Welsh Mountain ponies he worked with at Miss De Beaumont’s’ Shalbourne stud, home of the legendary Coed Coch Glyndwr. He has gone on to breed and exhibit ponies very successfully under the Sarum prefix with great success alongside his wife Annie and daughter Sarah Finch. During his period as a member of the WPCS Council he was Chair of Finance.
