REIGNING ROYAL WELSH CHAMPION FEMALE HEADLINES WPCS ONLINE SALE
The WPCS and Farmers Marts have decided to postpone the inaugural Online sale that was organised for the membership, until Saturday August 29th, 2020.
Feedback from members noted that many animals were not ready to be sold yet, and that the turnaround time for taking good photographs and/or video together with the entry deadline was too soon.
We also received feedback that the entry fee was too high.
The Society has listened to its members and revised the sale date and the entry fee to £30.00 +VAT.
It is important to note that the Society would have earned a significant part of each entry fee and part of the commission. This income was considerably higher than the previous Official auctioneers’ contribution, and therefore benefited the Society and its membership. As an Official sale, all entries and ownership details will be pedigree checked by the WPCS Office. Transfers to new owners will be processed automatically, and both vendor and purchaser can bid confidently and securely in the knowledge that an accredited auctioneer is facilitating the sale, bringing insurances and the Society’s stringent sale conditions into play. The online software is also a secured site.
We are delighted with the calibre of those animals already entered for the sale such as current Royal Welsh Female Champion 167618 TYCWM ABBEY GRACE, a young mare from the top drawer. We already have entries from established breeders and sale vendors, with HOPE, COSFORD, BRIERDENE, PARC, CWMMEUDWY, and TYDI offering stock on the 29th of August.
Entries are now invited for breeding stock and performance animals, and close on 12th August 2020

The current government guidelines make it impossible for the Society to responsibly stage our traditional sales where many thousands of people gather to enjoy and celebrate our Breed. Those Society sales would normally offer the opportunity for members to sell between 600 and 800 animals.
It is important to note that Online sales are a different type of sale where the timed ending means that the lots offered are less in number, due to the periods required for online bidding to play out between lots. These sales are not the Society’s’ first choice but they are currently our only option in these unprecedented times; and make use of our considerable worldwide social media platforms to bring your animals to a vast array of enthusiasts.

Considering members concerns, a new entry fee of £30 +VAT has been set with both the WPCS and auctioneers receiving proportionally equal amounts less of the entry fee.
As an illustration if your entry sells for £1000 – you will receive £919.00
(£30 & VAT) – entry fee
(£25 plus VAT – 2.5% plus VAT) – vendors commission
£15 transfer fee (collected on behalf of, and transferred to WPCS)
There are no hidden online charges.
There are no further costs unless you are a Non-UK vendor where a £15 bank administration fee is charged by the Auctioneer.
