Mr Gwynne Harris – Rhystyd

The Society sadly share the news of the passing of another member Mr Gwynne Harris of the renowned Rhystyd Stud at the age of 86. He was the last of four brothers William, David and James and sister Margaret.

The Rhystyd stud of Mabwshen in Ceredigion is one of the oldest Welsh Cob Studs having bred such illustrious stock as Rhystyd Prince, Express, Flyer, Dafydd and the lovely mare Rhystyd Fashion. It is heartening to know that the Pennal and Llwynhywel studs continue the family tradition within the breed.

The Society extends its sympathy to his family and friends.

Mae’r Gymdeithas yn drist o rannu’r newydd am golli aelod arall, gyda marwoaleth Mr Gwynne Harris o fridfa byd enwog Rhystyd.

Sefydlwyd y llinach ym Mabwshen yn gynnar yn yr ugeinfed ganrif gan fagu enwogion fel Rhystyd Prince, Express, Flyer , Dafydd a’r gaseg hyfryd Rhystyd Fashion.

Yn un o bump o blant roedd gan  Gwynne, dri brawd; William, David a James, ac un chwaer – Margaret.

Roedd Gwynne yn 86 oed.

Maen’n galondid i’r Gymdeithas fod y traddodiad teuluol yn parhau drwy fridfeydd Pennal a Llwynhywel.

Hoffai’r Gymdeithas estyn cydymdeimladau i’r teulu a’i ffirindiau.
