Mr Alwyn Waters – Luanshya
This evening we share the sad news of the passing of Mr Alwyn Waters, from Cwmavon, Port Talbot. Alwyn was a Section B breeder who first joined the Society in 1978. His prefix Luanshya was not used extensively as he did not breed many but the quality of animal he strove to breed was probably best represented by the bay mare Luanshya Gardenia, by Pennwood Eldorado out of Ceulan Antonia. Gardenia was very successful in the show ring and as a brood mare for the Paraguy, Cadlan Valley and Boston Studs.
He was a keen showman at the South Wales shows exhibiting colts such as Cennen Semprini and Colbeach Lucerne. A member of the judges panel he judged Lampeter Welsh Breeds Stallion show in 2012 where his Champion was Griashall Kiwi.
The Society extends its sympathy to his family and friends.
