Angelo Panayiotou – Kallistalodge Stud

The society was informed today of the loss of Angelo Panayiotou of the Kallistalodge stud. He was a great enthusiast for the breed and liked nothing better than the hubub and excitement of the Society’s Annual Cob sales. He was a keen bidder who often ensured that he would be taking home some of the stars of the sale.

However it was a private purchase back in 1999 that brought him the most satisfaction, securing a three week old Section C colt foal from the late Jack Davies. That foal was Parvadean Renagade – who went on to be Champion at the Society Centenary Show, Lampeter Stallion Show’s 50th anniversary and at the Royal Welsh Show, shown so masterfully by Nerys Davies. This gave him great pleasure; only surpassed by his love for his wife Kath, their four children and two grandchildren.

Angelo was a very generous person and the first sponsor of the National Welsh Championship show, and gold medals to the WPCS Centenary show in 2002. Our thoughts and sympathies are with Kath, his family and his friends.
