Gareth Evans
Senior Registrations Officer
I began working for the Society in August 2004 as a receptionist for three months. This I believe laid the ground work for increasing my knowledge and understanding for the Society’s Rules and Regulations along with the general day to day working of the Office. I then began my role in the Services Department in the November of that year, where I have happily remained. At first I was allocated only registrations and the matters arising from this responsibility. I was then entrusted with the Stallion Licencing procedure and have progressed to being capable of dealing with most general duties that apply to our Department. My main responsibilities are Registrations, Late Entries, Stallion Licencing and Transfers.
My interests outside of the Office are mainly Socialising, listening to music and watching television, I read the odd book and attempt to turn my hand to some gardening and cooking, however, with out doubt my passion lies mainly in the breeding and the future of our Welsh Ponies and Cobs, I myself have been a member for the past fifteen years.
Before beginning my six years with the Society I had the unique privilege of working at the Fronarth Stud for three years, whilst remaining in school to do my GCSE’s and A-levels, working weekends and school holidays. My time at Fronarth provided me with an invaluable education and a major insight to the feeding, training and production of our Welsh Ponies and Cobs for the in hand show ring.
Whilst working at the Office I have got to know many of our members professionally and socially and consider you as friends. I hope to meet and get to know many more of you in the months and years ahead. To quote Will Rogers “A stranger is just a friend I haven’t met yet”.

Communications Officer
More commonly known as Jack, I have worked for the WPCS since 2004. Mostly, I work in the Admin department, dealing with day to day calls and queries but also, I deal with the Society’s website and general IT support, making me the Office Geek.
I’m interested in a wide range of things, including western martial arts, writing fiction and I’m also attempting to learn Chinese and Welsh, although I sometimes get confused between the two.
