About the Welsh Pony and Cob Society Advisory Group
The Welsh Pony and Cob Society Advisory Group aims to:
- Promote debate and discussion on fundamental key issues.
- Seek expert opinions to assist Council when formulating the policies and regulations of the Society.
- Ensure Regional representation and create opportunities for members to raise items that have a regional impact.
The Advisory Group:
- Is elected by the membership every 3 years
- Meets at least twice a year
- Contains 2 representatives from the following regions: Scotland, Northern Ireland, North of England, East Midlands, West Midlands, South East England, Southern Counties, South West England, North Wales, Mid Wales and South Wales
- Is chaired by the President or, in their absence, the President-Elect
The Group does not have executive powers but plays a significant role in influencing and advising the Council of the Welsh Pony & Cob Society. The Group is essential to the development of the Society and the inclusion of its membership.

Nominations are currently being sought for areas without representations on the Group. Nomination forms can be found here. Closing date for nominations is 28th October 2011.
The next date for an Advisory Group meeting is 27th October 2011. Please contact your area representative if you have any issues that you wish to raise at the meeting.
