If you can pen a snappy news release, knock a copy into shape, proof a page, take great photos, stick to deadlines and be creative yet organised, then we would like to hear from you.
WPCS Editorial Team
The Welsh Pony and Cob Society (WPCS) produces a range of publications each year – including a journal, two magazines and a stud book.
Its portfolio also includes information leaflets and a large number of reports from shows and sales. These appear on the WPCS website and in equine and mainstream media, both print and electronic.
There is always scope for more articles – from a greater number of contributors – which in turn could appear in a wider variety of publications.
Staff at the WPCS feel there is an untapped pool of talent in the Society’s membership, a potential bank of contributors and, as importantly, editors and sub-eds, proof-readers, photo-eds, designers, page layers and all others involved in publishing.
If you can pen a snappy news release, knock a copy into shape, proof a page, take great photos, stick to deadlines and be creative yet organised, then we’d like to hear from you. It almost goes without saying that you’ll have good all-round knowledge of Welsh ponies and cobs, and the WPCS.
Posts are honorary, but travelling expenses will be paid at the Society’s standard rate. More, you’ll have the satisfaction of being integral to the future success of the WPCS by being part of the Society’s new Editorial Team.
You’ve read so far, which shows you’re interested in giving your skills, experience and time to the WPCS.
Do something about it by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with your CV, a couple of samples of your work and a covering letter detailing why and how you can help, no later than 8th July 2015.
