Welsh Cob headlines BBC Wales news story on Olympic torch bearers

BBC Wales is featuring stories on the Olympic Torch bearers as the flame travels across Wales, with Mr Eric Davies, WPCS President, heading the feature on his Welsh Cob mare Maesmynach Angerdd.

Mr Davies will be leaving Ceredigion County Council's headquarters in Penmorfa, Aberaeron, riding the Welsh Cob, at around 5.15pm this coming Sunday (27th May 2012).  This is excellent promotion for the Welsh breeds and will generate great publicity, with only two horses given the accolade of carrying the Olympic flame in the UK, the other being Zara Phillips on Toytown.

Maesmynach Angerdd is the only native breed that will carry the flame and we hope as many members as possible join us in Aberaeron this coming Sunday to celebrate the event and support the Society's President.
