Tweenhills Farm Open Day
As part of her year of Presidency, Mrs Mary Redvers invited WPCS members to an Open Day at Tweenhills Farm, Hartpury on Sunday 18th May. The weather was glorious and about 80 members attended, some from very far afield to see some of Britain's best Thoroughbred stallions, mares and foals.
The parade began with the Stud's star stallion Makfi, three of his first yearlings realised 300,000 gns. Then we had a ridden display by the grandchildren, parade of the Welsh cob teaser stallion and a part-bred dressage horse and finally viewed the mares and foals.
Mrs Redvers provided sumptuous refreshments and WPCS Chairman Anthony Booth proposed a vote of thanks on behalf of everyone present.
The Open Day involved considerable organisation and turned out to be a most pleasurable occasion.
