Research project looking at the prevalence and treatment of retained placenta in the mare.

Lydia Parrott, a third year student at Nottingham School of Veterinary Medicine and Science, is undertaking a research project looking at the prevalence and treatment of retained placenta in the mare.

She is appealing to stud owners to fill in a very short questionnaire during the upcoming breeding season. It requires breeders to take note of all retained placentas that required veterinary attention during the season.
