Betty French plans the 2017 Presidents Dinner Dance
President Betty French, trustee Tracy Hook and Chief Executive Officer Rob Allen visited the venue of the Welsh Pony and Cob Society 2017 Annual General Meeting. The first thing they noted was that, following a recent re-branding by the Hilton, the hotel is re-named Double Tree by Hilton. Those attending the AGM are asked to take note of this when following signage to the hotel.
The President and Mrs Hook met with officials from the Double Tree, were taken on a tour of the facilities and discussed the arrangements for the AGM and the Presidents Dinner on Saturday the 1st of April 2017. With a Council meeting on the afternoon of Friday 31st of March, followed by the Young Peoples event in the evening, and with the AGM, the Area Association meeting and the Presidents Dinner on the 1st it was a busy and productive meeting.
President French confirmed that her charities for the proceeds from the Dinner are the Hill Pony Improvement Society and the Air Ambulance. The Dinner itself will be a three course set menu with an auction and raffle taking place. Dinner guests with any special catering needs should inform reception of these upon arrival at the hotel. After dinner entertainment will be provided by lively 5 piece band The Kiltics. Wearing their trademark kilts and ghillie shirts the band will play music from the 60’s right up until the latest chart hits.
Since the meeting took place last week, it has been confirmed that tickets for the Presidents Dinner Dance have sold out!
