The members and trustees of the Welsh Pony and Cob Society were represented at the Patrons Lunch on Sunday the 12th of June to celebrate the 90th birthday of Her Majesty the Queen, the Patron of the Society.
President Elizabeth French was joined by Chief Executive Officer Rob Allen and senior managers Natasha Thomas and Iola Lloyd-Hughes at the UK’s biggest street party in the Mall, London. Attending the party were Her Majesty the Queen, Prince Phillip, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Princes Harry and Andrew.

Although initially wet and windy, President French said: “This has been a fantastic opportunity to represent the members of the Society and to celebrate the Queens 90th birthday in style.” President French and Prince Harry swapped a few words about the Society as the royal party toured the crowd during the festivities.
The Patrons Lunch took the form of a street party across the Mall and was attended by 10,000 representatives from over 600 charities and societies of which the Queen is the Patron. The Welsh Pony and Cob Society was represented in the agricultural section of the carnival procession which paraded through the Mall in front of the royal party and guests.
Operations Manager Iola Lloyd-Hughes said: “I am very honoured to be here on the Mall and to be a part of many memorable moments”. Resourcing Manager Natasha Thomas celebrated the occasion by saying “I am very privileged to represent the Society at such an excellent event”.
