New Council Meets at Bronaeron

The new Council of the Welsh Pony and Cob Society met this week, taking up the reins of the largest of the UK’s native breed societies. Top of the agenda were elections of trustees to Standing Committees and Working Groups including Finance & HR, Promotion & Member Services, Education & Welfare and Judging & Showing.

“This is a beginning of a new dawn” said Chair John Kirk, “I am honoured to be leading a close knit team of grass-root members who all wish to serve the members of the Society.”

New trustee Tracy Hook said “I am honoured to be part of such a group of knowledgeable and experienced Council members and look forward to making a positive contribution to the Society.”

The Council of WPCS will meet the first Monday of every month, alternating full Council meetings with the meetings of the sub-committees, and culminating in the AGM Weekend commencing Friday 31st of March 2017 at the Hilton, Swindon.
