Horse of the Year Show Results 2011

The very successful 2011 Horse of the Year Show ended on a high for  Welsh interests, when the champion 122cm show hunter pony, Crystal Vision, was crowned Supreme Pony of the Year.

Ridden by Harriet Dennison, the eight year old chestnut section B mare pulled out all the stops in front of judges John and Betty Peacock to lift the title and the purse of £1000.

Crystal Vision is yet another champion that has graduated through the Brightwells sales. She was spotted at the 2010 Fayre Oaks Sale by Harriet’s mother Shirley whose only complaint was that she had to wait 600 lots to buy her. The Dennison family have been helped in their preparation by Rachael and Julie Helliwell.

“The Worlds Most Famous Horse Show” has yet again provided the best possible stage for the Welsh breeds to show what a superb heritage they offer the equestrian world. The Welsh Pony and Cob Society wishes to record its appreciation to all that have made this a wonderful shop window for the breed.

Full results can be followed on the official HOYS results website.
