Happy Birthday to Her Majesty the Queen
The trustees and members of the Welsh Pony and Cob Society send their heartfelt best wishes to Her Majesty the Queen on the occasion of her 90th birthday.
Her Majesty has been Patron of the Welsh Pony and Cob Society since 1944 and it is believed that the Society was the first to be granted her royal patronage. Since 1944 her Majesty has been a keen supporter of the Society, and its membership, and her patronage has supported the members in becoming the largest breed society in Europe, in protecting the future of the largest of Britain’s native equine breeds and in promoting the Welsh Mountain Pony as one of the world’s most beautiful and desirable ponies.
“The Welsh Pony and Cob Society continues to be greatly honoured by the patronage of Her Majesty the Queen” says Chief Executive Officer, Rob Allen. “I know that trustees and members will wish to extend their congratulations to Her Majesty on this special birthday and to celebrate her continuing connection with the Society and with the Welsh ponies and cobs”.
