Easters Court Autumn Sale 2011
61 Welsh ponies, cobs and part-breds were offered at the Brightwells Easters Court Sale on 18thNovember when 36 were sold.
Top of the Sale at £1,200 was Miss Halsey’s four-year-old grey WPB gelding Bolgoednewydd Andee by the successful sire Abraham. Andee scored over 66% at his first ever British Dressage Preliminary competition and was bought by Mrs S Thomas of Brinsop, Hereford.
Second-highest at £1,000 was Mrs Davies Maksoud’s nine-year-old bay section D mare Lonwind Rosinda who had also competed successfully at dressage. She was bought by L Butchart of Quedgeley, Glos.
Top foal at £350 was Miss Powell’s palomino section D colt foal Goldenrina Flash by Janton Lightning out of a daughter of Nebo Daniel. Flash was bought by Miss Coventry of Talog, Carmarthenshire who also bought the six-year-old chestnut section A mare Danebridge Chelsea consigned by Mrs K Woodward.
The bay section D filly foal Cnwch Duchess by Cnwch Bonheddwr, which was not sold on the Brightwells Autumn Cob Sale, was bought by Sam and Marilyn Beach of Llanharan for £320. She is a very smart filly with a lovely temperament and was placed 3rdin strong company at the Gwent WPCA Foal Show the following day.
