New video highlights the versatility of the Welsh breeds

New video highlights the versatility of the Welsh breeds.

In time as planned for Horse of the Year Show – to be held October 7th to 11th, 2015 – The Welsh Pony and Cob Society (WPCS) is delighted to release its new promotional video.

Made with the expert skills of prestigious production company Boom Cymru and with the generous assistance of S4C and Grandstand Media, the three-minute video showcases the adaptability of Welsh ponies and cobs, and their attraction for young people be it for pleasure or performance.

Much of the footage was shot at this year’s Royal Welsh Show, whilst other content is from Horse of the Year Show 2014.

However, many people watching the video for the first time are struck by the images of the Landon Family of the Linksbury Stud simply enjoying the wonderful Welsh breeds.

Boom Cymru, which was nominated for seven awards at the BAFTA Cymru Awards 2015, produces content for S4C, BBC and ITV Wales covering a wide range of topics including children’s, drama, entertainment, factual, factual entertainment, lifestyle and live events.

WPCS Secretary, Roo Johnstone, said “This video tells a great story, and I am very, very pleased with it.

“It’s about what can be achieved with the Welsh breeds – success and winning at the highest levels – and also how important they are as part of family life, including for younger children.

“We couldn’t present this without the superb assistance of the team at Boom Cymru, as well as S4C and Grandstand Media, and especially Amanda Harries of Hay Productions, so a big ‘thank you’ to them all.”
